Ja Ja's Snowman

I made this one for Jocelyn. JaJa as we all call her is a very sweet and loving girl. Clint , Brianna and JaJa were all born within one month of each other. She and her mom Amber, are Shawn's cousins as well as mine. Amber and I work together at B&B. JaJa and her mom are really close and I think that it is wonderful. Amber is a great mom. I hope you girls like the Snowman bow I made for JaJa.

Christmas Time A Coming

Well, it's almost that time of year again. I think I enjoy making the seasonal bows. It is like being in a candy store, when I was buying my ribbons. If you would like one or to order just email me at slc2grissom@blomand.net and I'll get back to you. I have several styles of Christmas ribbon and accessories.

Inspired By Tab

O.k., I know that many of you check blogs daily. Well, Tuesday I was doing my blogging and went to Tab's blog and fell in love. She had posted a button and crystal set and it was breath taking. If you haven't checked out her blog, just click on it on the right had side of mine, under Tab's Bling. I was so excited to see her using buttons, I could not wait to get to school yesterday. We are studying the letter B and how neat was a Button Bracelet. This is mine and we all had a great time making them. The kids were so proud of them and had a ball. Thanks Tab for the inspiration, even though ours were the cheep version.

Fun At The Fair

Oh,my what fun we had Thursday. Thanks to Mrs. Gina and Mrs. Carrie. We made a fun trip to the Warren County A & L Fair. I think every bit of ground was covered. I think Melissa and I left some of our sanity in the petting zoo. You never know who you'll see at the fair. There was an Elvis siting at Highs Funeral Home booth in the Village. That was one you just had to be there.
This is Curtis' Best Buddy, Jalen. These two are clowns. The actually look alike. How funny is that.
Oh, My. Run for your life. We're going to be dug up.... They got their license from a Fruit Loop Box, but I think that is how some people get theirs.
Oh, please just take the picture already. Ethan and Curtis are best buddies too!! It also helps that Ethan's Mom Melissa and I are best friends too...
How intelligent they look, don't be fooled it was only for the camera. The cotton candy and caramel apples were getting to them. I think that the fair was getting to us too.

Miss Maddy

My little Maddy brought me a goodie jar in last week. I have had her brother, Logan and Sister Megan. I sometimes call her Megan, and boy do I get corrected quickly. I can't remember ever having to call any of the children down. They are all very well behaved. I thought Maddy was going to be shy, but she has warmed up to me. She was so excited to show me her cute dress this morning. Her mom said that she usually doesn't smile, but boy is this not the biggest smile ever. I love my job and my kids are the bonus. They are more rewarding that one could ever imagine.
Tomorrow I am off to the fair with Curtis' class. I think he is more excited about not having to take his backpack and agenda to class than the trip. Lexi thank you for bring my order in today. I miss you guys so much in class so any chance I get to see you all I'll take. I know London will be coming soon, I hope. I hope everyone has a great time at the fair!!!!

Happy Birthday Sonya

Where do I begin. I hope you have a wonderful birthday. Sonya is one of my best friends. We have be by each others side for a long while now. I know that things happen for a reason and having Sonya as a friend was a God send. I have seen her endure things that would seem impossible and she has pulled through. When you ask how she has handled thing she says,"Keeping God in my life is the only thing that has gotten me through my hard times." I am so luck to call you my friend and the sister I never had growing up. You and your family are my family too!!! Happy Birthday.

Grass Stains

Today when I washed Clint jersey, I found some left behind grass stains on it. I was talking to Mom and she said to try baby powder. I thought that wouldn't work. Oh, well was I ever wrong. I was out of Spray and Wash and had to try it. All you do is make a paste and rub it into the stained area, how cool!! Girls it works, Mom said that it would take ink or pencil marks off the walls. For your walls make a paste and put it on a rag and rub on the wall. Well were off to our game today. We play the Falcons, we are more evenly matched with them. I got the sweetest present Thursday at school and will post some pic on Monday. Have a great weekend.

Taking Time

I was looking through some pictures I had saved on my computer and came across this one I took of the boys with Shawn at our favorite place to hang out. It amazes me at how much our children grow up. I know that sometimes we are to busy to stop and just take in the little thing they do or say. This picture lets me sit back and take in all the little things my boys do that are sometimes taken for granted. I only wish that they could stay this way always.

Happy Birthday Granny Turner

How blessed are my boys to have their great grandmother and great grandfather still living. Friday was granny's birthday, but we celebrated today. She and Pa have some health problems, but she still manages to cook a huge Sunday dinner once in a while. Both set of my grandparents are gone and granny is just like mine. She always treats me as one of her very own. Clint and Curtis were concerned that we had no present to take today, so they used sun catcher paint and painted these bottles. We did get granny something, but there were several of us went in together and got her a beautiful wind chime. She loves them.

The boys were very proud of their vases. Curtis even cut a rose from my vine and filled it with water all by himself. Clint said his rose kept falling apart. We all stuffed our faces with BBQ, beans, dumplings, mac & cheese, potato salad and the most incredible hash brown casserole (Kelly it's the bomb). Oh, but Amber your on our list for NOT making your Apple crumb cake. Granny and Pa have 14 great grand babies and baby Wesley is on his way. We all hope this week. Poor Kristy is about to bust. I just hope that Shawn and I can live to see our great grandchildren and still be able to enjoy them. Pa call the boys "them little boys". I know granny wants to get out and do more, but her health want let her. I just hope she knows how much we love and adore her. Happy Birthday Granny Turner, WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!

Sunshine Makes The Flowers Grow

I found this cute argyle ribbon and loved the colors in it. I smile when I look at this bow, because it is bright and colorful.
