Great Tip Award!

I was so excited when I checked my posting. I found a wonderful award waiting for me on Laurie's blog Tip Junkie. How wonderful it was to find that surprise. I am suppose to pass this award on to someone who has inspired me during this holiday season. My picks not only inspire me through the Christmas holiday, but everyday.
Tab at Reminisce, girl I am always in awe at your work. This is a little happy she made for me. I wear it almost daily. If you haven't checked out her blog you have too. Her kids keep her hopping and I don't know how she does it. Hey, the offer still stands to help with unpacking.
My next pick is Julie at Sweet Memories Photography. She has made our pictures on several occasions and it is always fun. My boys don't dread having their pictures made. She does a wonderful job and is the sweetest thing ever. This is something that we will treasure for always and you will have these moments to look back on.

My next pick is Annette at Toadily handmade cards. I had her make me some note cards for Christmas gifts and they were a hug hit. She manages her home and volunteers at all three of her children's schools. Annette as a mom Rocks!!!!!

Now it is time for you three to pass these awards off to those who inspire you....

Merry Christmas Friends!

"Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart."

-Eleanor Roosevelt-

During this holiday season you tend to reflect on the year pass. There are many things you wish you had done differently and some you just wish you hadn't done, but it is all water under the bridge now and we must go on. I am hoping that everyone has a wonderful holiday season and if you travel please be safe.

Thank you for your friendship. It truly makes life easier when you have friends that you can count on to help when your blue or in a pinch. For without friendship what would life be.

Pajama Day

Yesterday was our pajama day at school and we all love it. Who wouldn't? When I walked in I saw a skinner version of myself. Mrs Ann and I were dressed just alike as you can see.
Don't you just love Sonya big old fury feet? All the classes had Pajama Day. We were studying the letter P and this is our special treat for the week. We ordered Pepperoni Personal Pan Pizzas and watched the Polar Express. All the kids had so much fun. Thanks to Lyndie who pick up the 57 personal pans for us. All my kids could hear their bells. They believe. I think that the meaning of Christmas goes out when there is no belief. Children are the true meaning of Christmas.
We are doing a share a Christmas Dinner in our class. We are using the Gingerbread house to collect change. We started in November talking about how we are thankful for all we have. Each child bring in change and we put it in. The first coin they put in they must tell one thing they are thankful for. It has been so much fun doing this. This year our donation will be made in honor of Baily Hyder. He had been really sick and has missed class. The kids all miss him and this is something that we are doing for him. I hope to post again before Christmas, but if not I hope everyone has a great Christmas and if you are traveling please be safe.

Christmas Parade Gathering

My, my don't we look like a fun bunch? A few of us meet up for the Christmas parade today. A Big Thank you goes out to Charles Morgan of The Tire Mart for letting our bunch use his lot. The bunch above were way ready for the parade to start.Clint, Jordan, Tyler, Katie,Curtis, Jalen and hiding in the back was Jensen. We all had a wonderful time. I think the adults had as much fun as the kids did. You know us adults have to catch up on all the latest gossip.

This little princess awake from her nap just in time to see the parade. This is Karigan. Is she not the cutest little thing you have ever seen.
I would never have believed both my parents being in the parade today. Dad was with the County Commissioners in a horse drawn wagon by Trent Kell and it was beautiful. Dad's the one in the navy sweater on the right.
Now, I think Mom had way to much fun. You can see her big smile! I think she got the shaft this parade, Dad was in the front and in a horse drawn wagon and she is riding in the back of a John Deere Gator. The parade was wonderful and the company we kept during it made it more special. Let's do it every year!!!!!

What We Are Thankful For

Today Curtis was home with pneumonia. We took him Sunday to see the doctors for an ear infection and found out he had pneumonia. So after a long day home with dad, he was ready for some mommy time. We talked about the things we were thankful for. Curtis said that he was thankful for his Friends and Family.

When Clint got home I asked him what are you thankful for and he replied everything. I ask but what and he said his brother and Pa and Granny Turner. He said he was lucky to still have them around.

Our conversations around the tree tonight as we were putting it up was pretty teary eyed. It is amazing at how deep these kids can be. Sometimes I have to remember they are still just babies. By the way our tree looks great. The boys did a great job with it.

Now I am thankful for my Family, Friends, my Class and the many blessing the Lord has chosen to give to me. Someone told me if you put your Christmas tree up before Thanksgiving you are not Thankful. Boy, how wrong is that. Me and the boys talked about how blessed and thankful we were while we were putting up the tree. They found their First Christmas ornaments and just thought they were the cutest things ever. They love to look at all my ornament the kids give me over the years and I can actually remember who gave them to me. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and is safe if you travel.

Make sure you come by Bath and Body Friday Morning from 6:00 until 1:00 and see me. There are going to be some good buys girls. A free gift if you make a $30 purchase. It is worth the wait. Hope to see you bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Christmas Times A Coming.

O.k. so I know Thanksgiving is not here yet, but we have to start early now days. This is one of my Rudolph hair bows. I have made several with different colors. I also have Santa I can do. I also have some Christmas ribbon with snowmen, snowflakes and candy cane stripes. Rudolph and Santa are only $6.

Happy Early Thanksgiving

These were gifts for our moms at school for Thanksgiving. The kids had a ball making them. Mrs. Glenda's dad pick up these little flag/shop cloths at an auction and sent them to us to use for something.
We made these little turkeys out of the kids hands. I think this is something that parents will treasure forever. We told our parents to hang on to their dowel rods, because there was more to come.

This is the little poem we put with them. I hope they enjoy them. Mom you will be getting one of the boys. I'll be posting the others as we do them. I am still unsure of what to do for Christmas with their hands, so if you have a suggestion please let me know.

Thank You Dad!

Today we are celebrating Veterans Day. We need to take time to stop and think about all the ones that lost their lives fighting for our freedom. My Dad was one that went off to Vietnam and fought for our freedom. We were very lucky that he came home. When dad went to fight there was no big home coming for those guys when they came home. Many men lost their homes, jobs and family while they were fighting for our freedom. Today there are many vets that are homeless and some that are mentally ill due to things that went on during their tour. I feel it should be our governments place to help them with a hand up, after all they fought for our freedom. I think they are the forgotten few.

There are several military men in our family and today I want to stop and say thank you for all you done for our country. Today would not be possible if you had not done your job while oversees. If you get a chance today, stop and shake a veterans hand or give them a hug and tell them thanks for the sacrifice they made.

A Hunting We Will Go

Last Saturday was the BIG Juvenile Hunt. That's pretty special around her with all these boys. Mom didn't get left out, I was up at 4:30 helping them all get out and ready. I almost didn't get this picture. I was told I was cutting in on hunting time. I was ready for bed again after they left.

Shawn and the boys got set up and I think Curtis slept in his chair in the blind. Clint was so excited, not long after they set up a doe came into sight and he was shaking like a leaf. That was the moment I wish I could have been there for, but that's a Dad thing. He couldn't get a clear shot. They saw a couple buck, but nothing close enough to shoot. Clint has Buck Fever now. He trying to talk his Dad into a new muzzle loader now. I can't wait to see what happens, because Shawn has been wanting a new one and this is looking like a good excuse for one.... Have a great weekend.

Another Year Older

My husband surprised me Thursday with a birthday cake. I had a great birthday. I got some really neat gifts at school, and of course some green from Mom & Dad and my Hubby too. Tab you'll be getting a call soon.
I think when we get older you tend to look back on your life and remember how wonderful it has been and how blessed you are to celebrate another year. I think that God gives you only what you can handle, even though sometimes you feel you are spinning out of control. We just have to put our trust in him and have faith.
I got a call from my Uncle Elma on Thursday morning before I left for work. That was pretty special, because he is going through some pretty tough times himself. I felt privileged that he thought of me and called to say Happy Birthday. It's not all about the hoop la, its all the little things. It's the wonderful post that people leave about you and all the friends you have made over the years and all the loved ones you've lost. It is a shame that only a few times a year we reflect on our lives. We should do it everyday and be thankful for the time the Lord has given us here. I think that with my passing birthday, I am going to concentrate on the here and now and let tomorrow worry about itself. We loose sight of things in our crazy day. We need to stop and see all the wonders that God has created for us and be thankful.
Thanks for all the Birthday wishes Girls. I love you all. Have a great day.

If you haven't check out her blog you can click over to the right of my page on Julie's Pictures and go to her blog. The boys love having her make our pictures, because they like to be natural as Clint says. Make sure you check out Clint's belt buckle, he borrowed his Poppa Harry's belt and was very proud of it as you can tell. He made Julie make a picture of him showing off the belt buckle. Our slide show is up in a few days and I can't wait to see it too. Julie you are an awesome person and you do great work. Thanks for taking our pictures.

Dad is home and feeling pretty good, especially after some WONDERFUL Friend of mine dropped off some apple dumplings. Dad will be down for about two weeks and then he can easy back into things. Mom said that with all this attention he is getting, especially all the goodies he might not be in any hurry to get well.

I know that I am behind in blogging and will try to catch up this long weekend. My winner for the Scarecrow name was Danielle Sliger who named her Sophia. I will be posting your winning later this weekend. Thanks again for all your love and support.

Fall Is Falling In

This is a fun and easy craft to do. We did these last week in class and the kids loved them. They were so excited to be able to take them home to their moms. It is amazing how you can take a paper plate, a can tab, die cut leaves and hot glue and make such a cute wreath.

Farm Bureau Farm Day 2007

How cute are we? Clint's class took a trip to the Farm Bureau Farm Day. We all had a great time. We did everything from tasting strawberry banana smoothies to placing our organs in the correct place.

This was the first attractions we saw a real roping cowboy. The kids went crazy over him.
Who is this I wonder? Mrs. Betty's husband Gary filled us in beef cattle. We know there is some good eating going on at that house.
Now, here is the scary part. Clint is placing Jordan's organs in place, because he can't remember where his dirty clothes go.

Here is the Tractor Man aka Brandon Fuston. He told us all about John Deere and how to be safe while using one of those green machines. I can remember when Brandon was this young. How old does that make me? You did a great job.

I would like to send out a big THANK YOU to all involved in the Farm Day. I know that there were children there that have never seen some of the things that were there and you gave them the opportunity to do so. I know there were lots and lots of work done to make it such a success. Just in case we forgot to tell you THANK YOU to all.

Meet The Ghost Family

Meet our Ghost Family, A mommy, daddy and two little ghost boys. The boys have been wanting to do a craft bad. When I was at Wal mart today I saw some little mummy windsocks and thought they were cute, but didn't want to pay $6 for something that I really didn't want. I got a brainstorm and went straight to the fabric department. We had a good time making them and putting them up. We hung the mommy and daddy on our porch and the two boys in our tree. My boys like to climb trees so I thought it would be a good place to hang them.
I had to make sure I had a mommy ghost. I made sure that she had a pink bow in her hair. We put spiderwebs around our doors to make it look spooky. It is amazing at how cheap you can make things this cute.

Inspired By Tab

O.k., I know that many of you check blogs daily. Well, Tuesday I was doing my blogging and went to Tab's blog and fell in love. She had posted a button and crystal set and it was breath taking. If you haven't checked out her blog, just click on it on the right had side of mine, under Tab's Bling. I was so excited to see her using buttons, I could not wait to get to school yesterday. We are studying the letter B and how neat was a Button Bracelet. This is mine and we all had a great time making them. The kids were so proud of them and had a ball. Thanks Tab for the inspiration, even though ours were the cheep version.
